Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation Lawyer Eric Borjeson Receives Special Certification by the Pennsylvania Bar Association

Posted on

In March, 2013, Philadelphia Worker’s Compensation lawyer, Eric Borjeson, joined a small percentage of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation lawyers to sit for the first Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Certification Exam. Passing the exam, Attorney Borjeson is now certified as a specialist in the practice of Workers’ Compensation Law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, effective May 1, 2013. With this Certification, Mr. Borjeson becomes a member of an elite group of trial attorneys recognized for their profound knowledge of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law and extensive experience in handling workplace injury cases.

Precise benchmarks had to be met in order to sit for this challenging four hour exam which covered an extensive variety of Pennsylvania’s Workers’ Compensation issues. Attorneys who wished to sit for the Certification Exam were required to establish that at least 50% of their practice is dedicated to Workers’ Compensation matters and to demonstrate that they have handled a specific number of various categories of Workers’ Compensation petitions, appeals, and expert witness depositions. The attorneys were also required to provide briefs and other pleadings submitted in their past Workers’ Compensation cases. Intended to provide injured workers with valuable guidance when choosing a Workers’ Compensation attorney, this rigorous process was designed to allow only those attorneys qualified to handle the most complex and difficult Workers’ Compensation cases to attain the Specialist Certification.

Based in Philadelphia, Eric Borjeson has exclusively practiced Workers’ Compensation law for over 20 years, representing injured workers throughout Southeast Pennsylvania including Philadelphia County, Delaware County, Montgomery County, Bucks County, Chester County and Berks County.  For more information, call our office today at 215-772-3020 or contact us online.
